I'm still wrestling with the Kipper deck concept. While I love the cards, there's a disproportionate amount of negative cards and cards relating to court and legal matters, in my opinion. So although the first 36 cards of this deck are based on Kipper, this won't be called a Kipper deck because I plan to attach my own system to it and you can use the cards in any way you like. Kipper police be damned!!
I'm using open access artwork images found on the National Gallery of Art website. Although the images are from different artists and periods, I tried to make the deck cohesive by finding images with a similar look and color scheme.
I also had the idea to make this more of a love and relationships deck since that's everyone's favorite question, although it can be used for a variety of readings.
Here's another deck idea I've been working on. It began about two years ago with a deck I intended to call Shadow Spirits Tarot. The minors were elemental based (Fire, Water, Air, Earth) and illustrated with an abstract design.
Although the original deck concept was tarot, the minors didn't follow a traditional interpretation. Therefore, I decided to make this an oracle deck. The photo above is from the Fire suit. The original photo (top left square) was found on pixabay.com. Next, I used the app RollWorld for the abstraction. The photo in the top left position is the original photo.
Above is the Water suit.
This is Earth.
And finally, this is the suit of Air.
In this blog, I share my deck ideas, creative process and workflows. These ideas may not ever be published but this is a way to share my ideas for inspiration. If you'd like to support my creativity and help me purchase prototype decks, become one of my patrons through Patreon.com!
